Founded by David Edgcumbe, a professional safari guide with over 20 years of deep, on-the-ground African experience, the company is built on trust, local expertise, and just doing things properly.
At Wildway Safaris, we design and customise seamless journeys across Southern Africa, from exclusive remote safaris to iconic city, wine, and coastal destinations.

David Edgcumbe
David Edgcumbe is a professional safari guide with over two decades of experience guiding international clients across Southern Africa. Having built long-standing relationships with families and private groups from the United States and beyond, David is known for his calm leadership, local knowledge, and ability to handle every detail on the ground.
His background in professional guiding has given him a deep understanding of Africa — not only its wildlife and landscapes, but its people, logistics, and realities. Wildway Safaris was founded to offer clients a more personal, tailored way to experience Africa, with the reassurance of safety and trusted expertise and oversight throughout their journey.
Having the comfort of being able to travel with an experienced local, who speaks local African languages and understands the African cultures deeply.
